Been a customer with Ameriprise for 30 years. In my opinion, this office has been through so many changes that it is frustrating for the clients and in my opinion the customer service has been poor. The original lady sold the practice; sometimes your dealing with people in Columbus, sometimes you are working with Jennifer, and who knows who else may be in the picture next week, next month or next year. When I expressed this frustration to them I was told that Jennifer Moenter Ameriprise Financial Services, Delphos, OH is dumping me as a client and my accounts would be transferred to the main corporate office (not sure what state that is located in). Jennifer was not friendly and should learn to appreciate the clients, as there are a ton of other options besides Ameriprise (i.e. Mass Mutual, Edward Jones, Van Guard, Lutheran Preferred, etc..). Maybe customer service is something the company can retrain Jennifer on? Maybe she has so much work that she really does not care about a customer that has been investing with Ameriprise since 1990- who knows?? But I do know at this point I don't really care and will find a broker/company that wants my business and knows how treat the customers right.
