Great place to learn about history. Wish they were open more often though.
We took a field trip to the Canal Museum in Delphos, Ohio. This was a surprising gem! In addition to TONS of interesting exhibits, they had many Christmas trees-each decorated to represent different Christmas movies. The museum is free! and the guide knew many interesting facts and stories about the items. Worth the trip! But leave a donation-they are doing great work there!
The Canal Commission is the museum dedicated to the area's history, with an emphasis on activities relating to the canal that runs through town. The museum is a little crowded with artifacts and can be overwhelming but there are a lot of local history treasures and stories throughout the building.
